Sep – Nov and Mar – May [Autumn & spring] is the best month. You have to do Everest base Camp trek to reach Kalapathar. Kalapathar is a few hours hike from Gorekshep.
Poon hill will leave you mesmerized with its exotic landscape and the panorama of the nearby northern mountain ranges. October to April is the best month to visit Sarangkot. It takes half an hour to reach Sarangkot via road. Keep in mind that you have to walk approx half an hour from the drop of point to the view point.

Nagarkot is one of the broadest viewpoints of Himalayas in Kathmandu valley with 8 Himalayan ranges out of 13. Be mesmerized when the mountain ranges from east to west [Everest to Dhaulagiri] picks up the shade of red and yellow with the rising sun.
