E-tag or an electronic device has been developed by Mahabir Pun to help TRACK N’ RESCUE lost trekkers in #Nepal. E-tag can be obtained by trekkers, making it to Annapurna Conservation Area Project (ACAP) regions, for Rs. 1,000 or US $10.
TTS -A Tourist Tracking System
The news came as a relief to trek community and Nepalese tourism sector when Mahabir Pub announced that he, along with a Bangkok based tech-company, has designed an E-tag or TTS that’ll help locate and rescue the lost trekkers in Nepal.
Trekkers, who tend to lose their track in the forests, get attacked by wild animals or encounter accidents, can greatly enjoy the device. Once transmitted, the rescue team shall be dispatched to locate the trekkers in distress.
Currently, the plan has been rolled out for mere 6 months in only Annapurna Conservation Area Project (ACAP) and shall cover the areas, namely; Bire Thanti, Ghandruk, Pothana, Pritam Deurali and Shikh. The initial response will help determine if the tracker can be launched and enjoyed in mass-scale in every trek trails in Nepal.
